Synthetic Pitches

Nestled against the back drop of Stirling Castle, The Wallace Monument and The Ochil Hills are Active Stirling’s state of the art synthetic pitches.

5 –a-side pitches

  • We have 6 5-a-side pitches with 3rd generation playing surface
  • These are ideal for juvenile recreational use and juvenile club training U12’s and below.
  • Also ideal for recreational adult 5-a-side football
  • All pitches are equipped with top of the range 5-a-side goals


Synthetic Pitch

  • We have a full size synthetic football/rugby pitch with 3rd generation playing surface
  • This pitch can be booked for matches and also split into halves and quarters.
  • A half pitch booking is ideal for adult recreational use or club training when numbers exceed 6 per side.
  • A quarter pitch booking is ideal for juvenile club training U13’s and upwards.
  • Due to the superior surface at 65mm in length the pitch is specifically designed to allow full contact rugby training.
  • The pitch is equipped with top of the range 11-a-side and 7-a-side goals.


Water Based Hockey Pitch

  • We have an international standard synthetic water based hockey pitch
  • This pitch can be booked for recreational or club training and is available for hire per hour for training or per 1.5 hours for matches.
  • The pitch is fully equipped with top of the range hockey goals and dugouts


The pitches are designed, built and programmed to meet the needs of the local community, whether this be a friendly kick around with some friends or a training session for a local club. Due to the high specification of all the playing surfaces they are also available for elite use, by professional clubs or for international fixtures.

Pitch Opening Times:

Mon – Fri & Sun  9am – 10pm (last booking 9pm)

Saturday 9am – 5pm (last booking 4pm)

Bookings are taken on the hour, per hour (excluding hockey which can be booked for 1.5 hours)

All pitch hire costs include use of floodlights and communal changing areas.

Footwear:

No metal or aluminium studs are allowed on any of the synthetic pitches.
